Get in touch to enquire about how the work is done and to commission architectural illustrations and perspectives.
Illustrations can now be commissioned by email and phone without the need for meetings. Please call or email to give project outline, a number of images required, preferred visual style and your deadline, as this will determine the price.
Initial line drafts are then produced and emailed to the client for reviewing. Afterwards the images are rendered - please read below for how it is all done in detail. A typical illustration can take from a half to three days to produce, which largely depends on its size and complexity. Final images are sent to the client's email address as the high resolution jpg files of up to 10 MB in size.
Production Process Illustrated and Explained in Three Easy Steps
Step 1:
Architectural sketches, elevations, plans, sections, basic 3Ds of desired views and photographs - some or all of these are required for the initial line drafts to be produced. In case of conceptual design just raw sketches and brief introduction or even written notes will do. Please do not include AutoCAD files in your notes - if possible save them as Jpeg, jpg, or PDF files and send them like that.
Step 2:
Line drawing is than produced, scanned and emailed to the client for reviewing. If any comments, the draft is than amended as per comments and, if required, emailed again for the final approval. It is at this point that the client should make any design changes if needed as later, once the illustration has been coloured, it will be very difficult to do so.
Step 3:
The original is than completed in colour or, if desired, rendered in black and white or as a line drawing. At the end it is scanned, processed in Photoshop and made into a final visual as a JPG file of up to 8 MB in size, which is than emailed to the client. Please specify if you need hard copies sent as well, which will than be posted or taken to you in person; there may be an additional charge for this service.
